This last week's been a hard one but today I managed to get around to taking pictures in this lovely little dress from Dear Creatures! I saw this dress on Hello Holiday a few weeks ago and became instantly smitten. Unfortunately they were out of stock in my size so I ended up buying it from the Dear Creatures website this last week. Isn't it just lovely? I'm so glad it belongs to me, the dress of my springtime dreams.

This week I'll be spending my days putting new items in the shop- they should all be up by this weekend. They are all so springtime beautiful, I can't wait for you all to see them! Also this week is my sister's 17th birthday, and we're going to go see Creature from the Black Lagoon at the Drive-In theater in the original 3D! I miss going to the drive-in, I haven't been in years. It's a shame I haven't taken advantage of having a drive-in theater in my town as much as I should have but I'm definitely hoping to change that this summer. :)

The Month of May

Yesterday was one of the loveliest days I've had in a while. I woke at around 8 a.m. and went straight outside to take a walk, and the first thing I saw was two does grazing in my backyard. I know they must have seen me, but it never seemed like they were frightened. (I doubt I looked like too much of a threat in my pigtail braids and nightdress, however.) They kept their distance though, and eventually bounded over our fence and into the wood behind the house. But for those of you who know me know how much I adore these creatures. I only wish I could have leapt over the fence and wandered into the wood with them.

I also got to go shopping for the store yesterday (I found some of the loveliest pieces I've ever come across...!), ate some of the most delicious hazelnut cookies I've ever had, and once again danced to the tunes of Graceland with my love. Which I highly advise listening to, by the way. It's the perfect summer album. :)



I knew I needed to squeeze in a day to wear this dress before the weather becomes too warm, so I decided today would be as perfect as any. I stumbled across it on Etsy- isn't the print just magical? It's a little difficult to find a place to wear it, but it's still one of my very favorite little dresses.
